Ben and I met through referral of course. :) Once we were formally introduced, we met for a beer and shared hot wings at a neighborhood restaurant/bar close to us. We hit it off, and within a couple of days he was pre approved. We came up with a plan, and the hunt was on.
After a handful of homes, I knew what Ben was looking for. He had a list of wants and needs, was on a time constraint, and was bound to a specific location. Ben was so calm and chill the entire time, and absolutely trusted me. His lease was coming to an end, he had a couple of travel plans, work catch up, and yet, it was a piece of cake.
When we walked into the final and last property, I remember us both looking at each other and our eyes got bigger. In my head, I was thinking, "is this real?" We toured the place like normal, took our time, and checked out every nook and cranny. Half way through, we looked at each other again, chuckled, and we both knew that it was the one. By the time we opened the sliding glass door to the patio, we both were pretty excited because it was more than perfect and fit both is wants and needs list. What a lucky guy.
Ben wanted a 2 bed 1 bath townhome with any sort of parking. He ended up with a 3 bed, 1 bath, two car detached garaged with an amazing fenced yard, water feature, laundry, newer major systems, and an old school working garage stereo that Ben had as a kid growing up. It couldn't have worked out any better.
Inspection was nearly perfect, and yet we still negotiated enough money for him to get a modest yet mighty check at closing. :) All within his preferred price point and comfortable monthly payment which was a very doable number for a first time home buyer.
Ben was truly amazing to work with. We shared quite a few funny experiences, jokes along the way, and a couple of rain storms, with a little bit of hail too. We met on lunch breaks, or anytime we could. It was a breeze working with him and I am sooo proud of him making this big, yet easy step to purchasing his home. Congratulations! :)
